Being rooted and built up in Christ means living fully grounded in Him, growing in faith and understanding with a heart of gratitude. True salvation leaves no place for the old self to remain in control-when the new life in Christ comes, the old life is done away with and no longer rules, leading us to walk in thankfulness for what he has done.
